Charlotte & Patrick
When an entire wedding party is barefoot all day, I know I’ve found myself in the right place.
From the moment I showed up at Patrick’s family’s cottage rental in Pembroke I was greeted with such warmth. His entire family was just beyond kind and so much fun to photograph.
I then drove to Char’s family cottage, a short drive away on the Quebec side. Their cottage, overlooking the water, was such an absolutely stunning location for a wedding. Everyone was so relaxed and happy – ready to finally celebrate this postponed wedding!
Sadly, a few days before their wedding, Charlotte and Patrick lost their beloved German Shepherd, Harlow, to cancer. Despite not being there for their big day, they found so many ways to honour and celebrate her life.
I was reminded of my own cottage wedding while photographing this beautiful and intimate day. I just love cottage weddings so much and am beyond thrilled that I got to be a part of this one!
