Kaori + Chester
Chester and Kaori were another one of my long distance weddings this summer, travelling all the way from Chicago for their Mill Street wedding. Kaori grew up here in Ottawa, so a number of the guests were from the area, but the majority had flown in from the States and even further abroad to celebrate this special day with them.
As soon as these two mentioned their love of beer (which is pretty clearly evident from the fact that their wedding was at a brew pub!) I knew this wedding would be a good one, and when they mentioned that instead of cutting a cake they would be tapping a cask of beer? AND that they set up a Nintendo corner for late night gaming?! I was sold!
This wedding was the first Buddhist ceremony I had photographed, and I was thrilled to get a chance to do so! It’s always awesome, as a wedding photographer, seeing the couples’ culture and religion merging with a modern ceremony.
