A Lakeside Cottage Engagement in the Outaouais

There's always something extra special about an engagement session at a family cottage, especially on a warm summer evening not far from my own place in La Pêche.

We spent the evening wandering around the property, soaking up the beautiful light and taking photos by the water before settling in on the dock with their favourite Heartbreakers pizza. It was relaxed, easy and perfectly suited to them, with no real agenda beyond enjoying the evening together.

Sessions like this are always such a lovely reminder that engagement photos do not need to feel overly formal or complicated. Sometimes the best setting is simply somewhere meaningful with beautiful light and a little time to slow down.
