Kealey + Ilya
I love a dance party. LOVE ONE. Even if I’m not dancing myself, getting in there with my camera is always one the highlights of my night. Not every wedding turns into a dance party, but Kealey and Ilya’s wedding at Ottawa’s industrial venue, Zibi, definitely did!
Their wedding was a two day event, starting off with a traditional Russian Orthodox ceremony on the Friday night at St. Xenia’s in Kanata.
On Saturday, we started with portraits on Elgin Street – Kealey had contacted The Waverly to see if it would be possible to take some photos there. I’m super glad they said yes, because it was such a cool location for photos! I highly recommend thinking outside the box when choosing locations for photos on your wedding day.
From there, everyone headed over to Zibi for a second, civil ceremony and reception. The food was amazing, the speeches were hilarious, and as always, I’ll let the party photos speak for themselves!
