This is a PSA to all wedding couples out there – please, please, PLEASE take me out on your boat for wedding photos!
Katylen and Jarrath met back in 2014 while traveling in Bali. She’s originally from Ottawa, while he is from Australia, the two of them hit it off and settled in Vancouver.
Because their families are so spread out, they decided to do two small weddings – one at Katelyn’s family cottage on Sand Lake in Elgin, Ontario, and a second event in Australia in the following months.
This beautiful intimate wedding was so wonderful, but the icing on the cake was taking a boat out to a small island on the lake (Rock Island) to take portraits. I could have shot there all day long. Not only was it gorgeous, but also a sentimental spot for Katelyn who spent summers as a child swimming from the island and jumping off the cliff.
I’m putting it out there for all the social media gods: send every single cottage wedding my way. Every one. I’ll take them all!
