The following locations are my recommendations for your engagement, couple or portrait session.
I've tried to curate a list of locations to suit everyone's taste; however, if you have a particular location style in mind please that isn't reflected in this list, of course, feel free to suggest it.
The following are, in my opinion, the best locations for photos in the Ottawa area.

There are fields, wooded areas, and a beautiful little lake. It's also a dog friendly location, so if you're looking to include your pooch it's a great choice!
Gatineau Park (Lac Des Fees)
Just north of the sandy area there's a beautiful pebble shoreline with boulders, fallen trees, a forest, etc.. offering a sort of coastal vibe. Being on the east shore of the river means we get GORGEOUS sunsets at this beautiful waterfront location! It's a wonderful spot if you're after golden hour or artistic portraits.
There's ample free parking and it's also a dog friendly location.
Aylmer Beach
If you love flowers and groomed gardens, then this may be the location for you! The gardens are well maintained, there's a small fish pond, stone paths, large hedges, old trees and some beautiful old buildings, too.
Free parking can usually be found at the Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement (right behind the gardens), at the greenhouse on Maple Drive, or paid parking is always available in the big Indigo lot off Prince of Wales (at the Canadian Agriculture and Food Museum).
Please note that this location does not allow dogs.
Ornamental Gardens
If you're looking for fields of long grass and wild flowers than this is the spot for you! There's a dirt road, and wooded areas as well.
This location offers a beautiful, natural landscape. There's ample free parking available at the Fletcher Garden parking lot off Prince of Wales Drive (by the baseball diamond).
Fletcher Wildlife Garden
Meech Lake is such a beautiful spot for photos!
While it's not the most private location (there are usually plenty of beach goers) the beautiful hills and west-facing shoreline provide some amazing sunsets and a fun opportunity to get wet!
This location is best for cooler weather photo shoots (mid September through mid May) as during the hotter months the beach can be a bit too busy for photos. It should also be noted that this is not a dog friendly location.
Paid parking is available in the P11 (O'Brien) lot.
Meech Lake (O'Brien Beach)
I love it when clients choose their home as the location for their engagement or portrait session. Everyone is always so much more comfortable, and it helps tell the story of this exact moment in your life.
Your in-home shoot can be indoors, in your yard, and we can even take a walk around your neighbourhood (visiting nearby parks, coffee shops, etc..).
