Sunset Engagement Shoot in Gatineau Park

Due to scheduling conflicts, we had a very limited window to shoot Michayla and Shawn's engagement photos in August. When their date came along and it was calling for rain, it was a tough decision whether we should push forward or not. If we missed our opportunity that week it meant waiting another month for their engagement shoot, which wasn't ideal!

All afternoon it was dark and rainy. I worried we had made the wrong decision, but the forecast promised it would stop raining around sunset so we moved forward with their session...only to be given the most incredible warm light I've ever seen in my life.

This may have been one of the most beautiful golden hours I've ever had the pleasure of photographing, and these two (plus their pup, Bailey!) were just so incredibly fun to work with.
